Government Job Grade and Salary BD are now divided into four grades in the 20th grade, which used to be in the 4th grade. According to the 2015 National Salary Scale, there are a total of 20 grades in the official salary scale of Bangladesh. Government salaries in Bangladesh are divided into four categories, namely 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th. Although the grade division system has been introduced instead of the class division system of government service pay, 20 grades have been divided into 4 classes.

  • 1st class: Grade-1 to Grade-9

First-class gazetted officer salary bd

1st to 9th grade who is a first-class officer or gazetted officer or cadre. At the time of their appointment, an official gazette or notification is issued, the President himself appoints them. 2nd class job grade in Bangladesh:

There are four grades of government service pay in total, First Class Salary Scale 1 to 3 Grade. 2nd class job pay scale 10th grade.

  • 2nd class: Grade-10

The 28 types of jobs employed by the PSC are called cadre and the other government jobs employed by the PSC are called non-cadre jobs. Non-cadre jobs are called 1st class in grade 9 and 2nd class in grade 10. The main difference between cadre and non-cadre jobs is that cadres can get promotions and go to the policy-making level, which non-cadres cannot go. Almost all cadres can go up to the lowest grade, while most posts in non-cadre are block posts.

BCS cadres are basically of two types General (Police, Admin, Foreign Affairs, etc.) and Technical (Education, Health, Agriculture, Roads, and Urban Development, etc.).Anyone in the General Cadre can get a job with an examination from any subject, but in order to get a job in the Technical Cadre, one has to have educational qualifications in a particular subject. For example, no one can work as a government doctor without an MBBS degree.

The way to recognize them is that there are 4 types of staff in any government office. Which includes the cadre, the officer below him the employee below him. The 1st and 2nd of them are called Gazetted Officers. Those who are 3rd class are also officers. They are employees of the 4th class.

First-class means minimum 9th grade and the second class only 10th grade. And Assistant Directors of all departments are first class ADs of Bangladesh Bank or all ADEs are first class.Police SI is second class and the primary headteacher is second class. Government high school assistant teachers are second class. The primary assistant teacher is third class and office assistant of all departments, computer operator / sixty typists is third class.

The office assistant is a fourth-grader with a scale of 8,250 such as a primary school peon. Let’s find out how much salary and government allowance is in which grade. Although the maximum basic salary of Tk 8,000 is recommended by the Pay Commission in 20 grades, the amount of money including salary allowance on this scale will be Tk 140,000. Similarly, even if the minimum salary scale is recommended at Tk 8,250, it will be Tk 20,010.

On the first scale, it is recommended to rent a house at 50 percent of the basic salary of Rs 40,000. Apart from this, medical allowance has been increased to Tk 1,500, domestic aid allowance to Tk 3,000, festival allowance to Tk 13,033, entertainment allowance to Tk 3,000, and education allowance to Tk 2,000.

Similarly, it has been recommended to rent a house of a minimum scale of Tk 5,000, medical allowance of Tk 1,500, travel allowance of Tk 300, child education allowance of Tk 2,000, laundry allowance of Tk 150, and tiffin allowance of Tk 300.

Other allowances and benefits

House rent: For the Dhaka metropolitan area of ​​Tk 45,000 and above, house rent at the rate of 50 percent of the basic salary is a minimum of Tk 26,000 and a maximum of Tk 40,000. For Chittagong, Khulna, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Barisal, Rangpur, Narayanganj, Gazipur, Cox’s Bazar, and Savar areas, at the rate of 45 percent of the basic salary, the minimum is Tk 23,000 and the maximum is Tk 36,000.

A minimum of Tk 21,000 and a maximum of Tk 32,000 at the rate of 40 percent of the basic salary for the district town. For other places, a minimum of Tk 19,000 and a maximum of Tk 28,000 at the rate of 35 percent of the basic salary. The basic salary ranges from Tk 25,000 to Tk 44,999 for the Dhaka metropolitan area at a rate of at least Tk 20,000 at 60 percent.

Chittagong, Khulna, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Barisal, Rangpur, Narayanganj, Gazipur, Cox’s Bazar, and Savar areas at the rate of 50 percent of the basic salary of at least 16 thousand rupees.

At least 13,000 rupees at the rate of 45 percent of the basic salary for the district town. For other places at least 11,500 rupees at the rate of 40 percent of the basic salary. From Tk 13,000 to Tk 24,999 for the Dhaka metropolitan area at the rate of 75% of the basic salary of at least Tk 10,000.

At least 6,000 rupees at the rate of 50 percent of the basic salary for the district town. For other places at least 6,200 rupees at the rate of 45 percent of the basic salary. For Dhaka metropolitan area up to 12 thousand 999 at the rate of 60 percent of the basic salary at least 6 thousand 500 rupees.

Chittagong, Khulna, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Barisal, Rangpur, Narayanganj, Gazipur, Cox’s Bazar, and Savar areas at the rate of 75 percent of the basic salary at least 6 thousand.

At least 5,500 rupees at the rate of 60 percent of the basic salary for the district town. For other places at least 5 thousand at the rate of 55 percent of the basic salary.

Medical allowance

At least 1 thousand 50 rupees per month. In the case of retirees, the monthly allowance for those below 65 years is Rs. 1,500. 2,500 for those over 65 years of age. In addition to this, an insurance scheme for government employees including health and accident insurance and life insurance of Rs. 400 provided by the government will be introduced.

Travel allowance

Travel allowance of Tk 360 per month has been recommended for employees working in all city corporation areas of the country in grades 10 to 16.

Car benefits

Continuing the issue of cashing for authorized officers for full-time vehicle service. At the same time, experimentally, it has been recommended for the top 3rd-grade officers. Besides, 4th-grade officers have been recommended to consider buying a car.

Education Assistance Allowance
It has been recommended to pay Rs.1000 per month for children of all classes of employees and Rs.2000 per month for two children. In addition, it has been recommended to fix a certain quota in all government-funded institutions for the admission of children of government employees. However, this recommendation will not be applicable to BUET or Dhaka University.

Tiffin allowance
Tiffin’s allowance is 300 rupees per month. However, this tiffin allowance will not be applicable for the employees who get lunch or lunch allowance from their organization.

Festival allowance
It has been recommended to give festival allowance equal to 2 months basic salary per year for all employees. At the same time, it has been recommended that a retiree to pay two festival allowances a year at double the rate of his monthly net pension.

Fatigue and recreation allowance
Employees of all classes have been recommended a lease and recreation allowance equal to 1 month’s basic salary, including leave earned at an average salary of 15 days every 2 years instead of the current standard of 3 years.

Bleaching allowance
A bleaching allowance of Rs 150 per month has been recommended for 4th-class employees.

Workload allowance
To keep the percentage of work allowance unchanged and increase the maximum limit to Tk 2,050 per month.

Domestic worker allowance
The domestic allowance is unchanged.

Costume facilities
It has been recommended to continue the facility of providing garments as per the prevailing rules.

Hill and inaccessible allowances
It has been recommended to re-fix the hill allowance of Tk 5,000 at the rate of 20 percent of the basic salary for government employees working in hilly areas. At the same time coastal allowance in Haor-Baron, remote island areas.

Retirement allowance and other benefits
A pensionable service period from first grade to 16th grade is recommended for a pensionable period starting from 5 years to 25 years.

In the case of a compulsory surrendered 50 percent pension, the rate of gratuity has been recommended from Rs. 265 to Rs. 230 per 1 year starting from 5 years to 20 years. In the case of voluntary retirement from service, it has been recommended to reschedule the service from 25 to 20 years.

Introduce life, health, and accident insurance for government employees. It has been recommended to consider this issue in the pay commission for government employees.

Housing and housing construction loans
The amount of loan for government employees has been recommended to give a home loan of Tk 12 lakh to a maximum of Tk 50 lakh depending on the grade.

In this case, the interest rate will be 5 percent at the bank rate. Apart from this, khas land has been identified at the district level and a project has been taken up for the accommodation of government employees.

It has been recommended to give 10 Katha plots for 20 to 8 officers of 8th to 1st-grade scale and 8 Katha plots for every 20 other employees.

Establishment of prosperous stair banks
It has been recommended to set up a prosperous Sopan Bank for government employees. Apart from this, it has been recommended to construct cemeteries at several places for the posthumous burial of government officials and employees living in the Dhaka metropolis.

Financial integration
According to the report of the pay commission, an additional allocation of Tk 494 million will be required for the proposed house rent in the next financial year.

Tk 996 crore for medical treatment, Tk 1,250.42 crore for education allowance, Tk 36.79 crore for travel allowance, Tk 18.16 crore for festival allowance, Tk 581.33 crore for leisure entertainment, Tk 154 crore for tiffin allowance. , 73 crores 79 crores for inaccessible allowance, 36 crores 69 lakh 72 thousand takas for pensions, 648 crores 14 lakh taka for retired medical allowance. In other words, the government employees will need 16 thousand 474 crores more than the budget of the current financial year.
